On 4th July, state members made commitments to accelerate their policy against endocrine disruptors. France has taken 9 ambitious national measures, one of which concerns the cosmetic industry:
– France will ask the European Commission to prohibit or restrict the use of endocrine disrupting substances in cosmetics, toys, food packaging and chemicals.
– France will study the possibility of mandatory labelling in the presence of endocrine disruptors in cosmetic products currently utilised, which may lead to dermal or oral exposure.
